All of our made to measure Glass comes with the following features as standard:
providing a safe and professional finish to our products.
Improving both Impact and Thermal resistance, and should our Toughened items be broken, they break into small safe to handle pieces as opposed to large sharp shards of broken glass. Legally all Toughened glass must display a Toughening Mark to provide details of its origin and standard - On 4mm Thick glass this can be found on the surface, while greater thicknesses have this mark positioned on the vertical machined edge.
*Mirrors are not Toughened.
We produce our products within the industry's standard tolerance of +/- 2mm.
Optional features include:
allowing for items such as Parasols to be used.
These small self adhesive pads allow the glass to be placed upon a surface while creating a gap between the surface to be protected and the underside of the glass.
removing the point from the corners, improving safety where required.
Available Optional Extras are dependent on the Shape selected.
Our website calculates available delivery dates based on the amount of time required to manufacture your order.
Deliveries take place using third party courier delivery services. Once we have completed manufacturing your order, we dispatch your order in one of the following ways depending on the option you have selected at the Delivery stage:
Orders leave us on the working day prior to your selected delivery date in suitable glass packaging.
Tracking information along with contact details for the courier company are provided on the evening that the order is dispatched. Once an order has been dispatched and is in the courier's possession, any changes to delivery arrangements should be made with them directly.
If you are unable to be present during delivery and the item ordered does not require additional help for unloading (this is prompted and confirmed during the order process), a note for the courier can be left in both the Shopping Cart message box and as a note on the Door of the delivery address.
Fragilistics are a specialist delivery company of fragile goods, making them an ideal Glass courier.
Once Fragilistics have collected your order from us, they will contact you to co-ordinate your delivery with you.
Maximum Limits of this Delivery method:
Our website confirms whether the item you are specifying is beyond any of these limits and disables the delivery option should that be the case.
Orders delivered by Fragilistics do not require packaging as specialist glass delivery vehicles are used.
Q. Which Thickness of glass do i need?
A. When it comes to Breakfast Bars, we recommend a minimum thickness of 10mm. Increased thicknesses do improve the load bearing capacity of the glass and provides a more eye catching asthetic.
Q. What is "Low Iron" glass?
A. Low Iron glass is the clearest type of glass available. When viewed from the edge the glass appears to be a light blue colour in comparison to Clear glass which appears green.
Q. Is the Glass Toughened?
A. We Toughen all of our glass as standard. The only exception to this is when the size of the glass falls below 300mm x 300mm or the glass is to be produced from either Laminate or Mirror.
Q. Are all of the edges safe?
A. We machine a profiled and polished finish on every edge as standard, so there will be no trace of sharpness found on cut glass.
Q. What are "Radius Corners" and do i need them?
A. Radius Corners are simply corners which have been rounded / curved to remove the point at each corner. These are useful mainly when the glass has an overhang and could be accidently walked into, as having a radius corner will ensure safety. Any Radius Corner size can be specified, allowing you to match an existing rounded corner.
Q. I require glass made to an irregular shape, how can i order this?
A. For more complex shapes, the best method is to produce a template in order for us to replicate the design in glass. For more information on this, see our Glass to Template page:
